Yup! I know, very strange indeed.. I was very surprised by this too!
I think the A9G is just better built than the B9G, taking more abuse when damaged
Keep in mind, these diodes are pushed WAY past their recommended ratings, so they won't behave as we expect.
Not a typo !
I believe the diode had some sort of internal damage without completely failing, and then recovered.
I've had another diode (this one) that has permanently shifted to 510nm from 520nm after shining into a glass window (a waterproof attempt)
You can tell the crystal is damaged by...
Correct me if I'm wrong but those modules are meant more for testing on a platform rather than host building.
See my shop here for host kits: (not available yet, send me a PM)

Or send a pm and I'll custom make a heatsink for ya with this 18650 host:
4A would be fine, I know people who drive diodes way harder, 4.5A is also very common.
I can send you one of these, which was originally designed for 5A, might work for you depending on your heatsinking but no guarantees

Otherwise I'd go for the...
Test results of the Sharp GH05C01A9G
Test was performed as all other tests, Sanwu 20T LPM, G2 lens, 21.0°C TEC cooled on DTR 25mm copper module at 20cm distance.
Divergence tests were done with 2E lens, same as all other tests. The diode was remained canned for this test.
You can purchase...
Here are the results of my test of the Nlchia NUGM06
Test was performed as all other tests, Sanwu 20T LPM, G2 lens, 21.0°C TEC cooled on DTR 25mm copper module at 20cm distance.
Divergence tests were done with 2E lens, same as all other tests. The diode was decanned for all tests.

Tested the Nlchia NUBM4B today.
Same setup as all other tests, Sanwu 20T LPM, G2 lens, 21.0°C TEC cooled on DTR 25mm copper module at 20cm distance.
All in all, not a bad diode, considering it can be bought for around $10 on the chinese market, outperforming the majority of diodes on both power...
10x NUBM47-A1 only at around $70 total:

Hello everyone!
I am happy to announce I have officially begun selling laser diodes at affordable and competitive prices
Please don't hesitate to leave some constructive feedback if some prices are erroneous or set too high!
You can visit my website here for a full list...
yes, they are still available , although stock quantity went down
Total output is around 36W IIRC
yes, 2nd pic is the array inside
Please check this thread :

Not a single failure from these Nichia diodes while testing, only the Sharp as you can see on the comparison graph, the sharps decline extremely fast (complete failure)
The duty cycle was around 5 to 10 minutes (the time it took to test and record data)
All the diodes were tested equally, same...
My local shipping service simply doesn't support tracking number for some international countries.
I work it out with the customer. Sometimes they get a refund, sometimes they don't. I go by a good-faith policy.
Selling internationally allows me to make more sales.
