    We lost another company!

That's exactly what I have been suspecting for quite a while now. I haven't bought many 532 DPSS lasers, (4 in total) but only one has not had that very annoying power drop problem. Most people don't really seem annoyed by it, but I find it a bit sad when a laser which is advertised as...

    We lost another company!

I'm interested in what you said about the duty cycles of their lasers. I bought one of the last PL532-200 lasers that they sold before shutting down the website. The laser does have a great peak @ about 320mW but after about 2 minutes of continuous use the power drops down to about 200mW. If I...

Most expensive laser you have ever bought?

How is the laser today? Do you still have it? If so, it would be interesting to see what it hits on an LPM after 8+ years :) The most expensive laser I have ever bought(so far) is an M140 build in a C6 host. It originally output about 2.3W and it's still outputting over 2W almost 5 years later.

    We lost another company!

I think I'm just going to keep the laser. LaserBTB isn't even selling lasers anymore and I'm kinda glad I got one of the last. I really don't feel like shipping the laser back to them for a refund in this case. It definitely wasn't THAT bad of a deal, and I know most people would probably be...

    We lost another company!

I just heard back from them, they said that the power drop will normally start from 60 seconds onward, which is exactly what I experience. You bring up a good point, even if it was unwittingly. The vast majority of people who buy these lasers don't use them for more than 30 seconds at a time...

    We lost another company!

I've heard that the Jetlaser 532s have an unlimited duty cycle, and plenty of youtube videos with continuous runtimes of 5 minutes+ on an LPM seem to support that. As I said, the mini 100mw green from Lazerer I had a while ago could run continuously with no power drop until the battery was...

    We lost another company!

Yeah, I think that's basically the issue. The listed duty cycle of the laser on the website was 15 minutes on/10 seconds off for the 200mw version, although on the laser itself it says the duty cycle is 5-10 minutes on/1 minute off. I just didn't expect a high quality laser of this type to...

    We lost another company!

I think I may go that route. I wish there were more people on here who have experience with laserBTBs PL532-200 lasers who can tell me if theirs has a power drop after a few minutes of use. As I said, it peaks around 320mW for a good 90 seconds or so which is great, but after about 5 minutes of...

    We lost another company!

If I ever decide to buy another DPSS 532, it'll probably be from Jetlasers. I don't think BTB will respond back to me telling if my laser is fine or it was damaged in shipping. I tend to think that it wasn't damaged in shipping and it's just how the laser was sold.

Wow, that 5 minute test with the PL-E pro at 350mW stable was one of the best examples of what a quality DPSS green should be like. The 900mW test even better. I was very surprised that the BTB laser has a power drop problem similar to the 301s. We all know they've been very highly rated on...

    We lost another company!

After 26 days of waiting, one of the last PL532-200 lasers to be shipped finally arrived. The first thing I did was test it on the LPM and it peaked around 326mW so I was very happy about that, until after only a couple minutes of using the laser, it dropped down to around 200mW output. After a...

    Sanwu 304 lasers

Well, it definitely applies to most CHEAP DPSS pointers I would agree. When I say the power will drop, I'm not talking about a 5mW drop, I'm saying that the power will drop by like 50+% of its original output after a few minutes of using the laser. The external temperature of the laser won't...

    Sanwu 304 lasers

I've had the 100mW green 304 for about a year now. The highest I've seen it peak on an LPM is 88mW including a few mW IR output. These lasers are like any other 301 lasers in that the power will drop once the laser warms up, so if you're planning on running the laser for more than about a minute...

    We lost another company!

Wow, I was very surprised to see the message they left on the site when I just went to check my tracking number for a laser I ordered from them. I really do hope I get the laser, now it has me a bit worried. I feel both privileged and sad that I was one of the last to order a laser from...

    Need help choosing 532 laser

Yeah a 520 would usually be cheaper per mW at 500mw+, but a NUGM01T build is still out of my price range. I really do like the 1W spiker by sanwu and with its unlimited duty cycle I know it's high quality, but the price is still too much ;( The advantages of a 532 are the good beam quality and...
