    Making a portable CO2 laser?

Last reply 2 months ago. Not that old. But I made a portable CO2 laser a decade ago. Its not really worth the effort with blue lasers around.

    You are way too late.

How to drive 60W laser array, and make dummy load.

Oh I know, I am just assuming its way bigger than needed.....AxBxH.

How to drive 60W laser array, and make dummy load.

Yeah thats what I meant earlier. One spike and you have wasted a few $. Would be easier to power all rows from one....but all I can find are 900W versions. Thats a bit much. Bet they are alot bigger than what I would need to run the laser.

How to drive 60W laser array, and make dummy load.

Oh so 5V...damn. I have added an amp-meter, shows me 20mA....which should be the current for the green status LED on that techhood PSU -.- I got a regulated powersupply....should work if I set it to 120V/1.6A right?

How to drive 60W laser array, and make dummy load.

I am not the electronics guy but I know lasers are a bit sensitive when it comes to current and voltage...mor towards voltage though. Techhood doesn't even tell you the voltage output I think. I bought a package and now Im screwed. Was it 3.5V per diode @1.8A?

How to drive 60W laser array, and make dummy load.

I bought the 48W version from techhood and their driver is acting weird. Did you just buy the array without anything else?

    Blue laser 74W NUBM35 Portabl?

I seems nobody on this forum tried techhood drivers?

    Blue laser 74W NUBM35 Portabl?

Yeah I guess I gotta turn that poti up. They never told me anything though. Will put an amp meter on just in case. 1

    Blue laser 74W NUBM35 Portabl?

Its much better that way. I don't have to run wires across the lenses :p or around the array.

Techhood Osram 50W diode array powersupply questions

Hi I bought a big array, 50W, told them to include a powersupply, they did. First I got a pic with red and black wires, looked like + and - located on one side....4 each. All over sudden they send me a datasheet, showing ++-- instead. Maximum confusion. Showed them how I would wire it up, they...

    Blue laser 74W NUBM35 Portabl?

I bought a 95W from techhood, they are not really helpful. They added a driver which I am using, the green LED on that thing is lighting up, measured the output real quick, 60V but dropping fast. Connected the pins as shown, seemed to be the best way to make sure I got short connections and...

90W blue (14 diodes onto one spot, death star style)

Ahoihoi Totally forgot to post this one. Always wanted to try this out. Doing it the right way, no lens BS.

    Custom Lasers to the US?

A LETTER CAME IN TODAY! Customs and border protection. My english is not bad, but all the § and ? are out of reach for me in a certain way. I am not a lawyer, just a toymaker. I never include any batteries, I never sell anything to kids under 18 or obviously stupid people. Have to admit I cant...

    Custom Lasers to the US?

No guys, its not that easy. I do call it PROP because they ARE props. Halo rifle, BUT they seem to xray everything now! Then the FDA takes it, client has to go there and they fine him -.- Thats why I was opening this very thread :) if it was that simple, I wont even bother you guys ^^
